Visuo XS809S Battle Shark

The Visuo XS809S Battle Shark is a mean looking foldable drone. It is a stable machine with a 720p camera. How does it stack up? Let’s find out.

The Battle Shark

The Visuo Battle Shark has some nice features. It has altitude hold, a good camera, multiple speeds and can do push button flips. The remote is nice. It has a solid feel and is labeled making it an easy drone to use. The Shark also has headless mode and return to home features however we do not recommend using either. Headless mode can create bad habits and return to home rarely works on drones that do not have GPS.

The Battle Shark Camera

The camera is nice and takes pretty sold pictures. It is adjustable so you can choose the angle that you want. However, the issue is that when the drone is in flight the camera vibrates. That creates some pretty terrible video footage. You can stabilize the camera yourself with foam or some other means, but it is disappointing that you have to do so.

Should You Get a Visuo Battle Shark?

On paper, this is an excellent drone. It is very stable. It folds up and is portable. It even has an HD camera. The Visuo Shark claims a flight time of 20 minutes. While we don’t expect you to get the full 20 minutes you should expect at least 15. That is pretty good for a drone of this size.

However, the shaky camera is a big problem for us. If you don’t mind stabilizing the camera on your own and you can get a solid deal the Visuo XS809S Battle Shark is a good drone.
