Register Your Drone
The FAA likes the number “5” apparently, so if your drone weighs between 0.55 and 55 pounds (250 g to 25 kg) you must register it and the registration number must be displayed on the drone if you are flying outside. You will notice that all of our reviews state if the drone is over or under the 0.55 pound limit. Registration costs just $5. Believe it or not there are plenty of people trying to take your money to register your drones. Don’t do it. Only trust the FAA and if they want to charge you more than $5 get out of there.

In the United States, the FAA has jurisdiction of the airspace and the FCC makes the rules about RF frequency usage (like those used between a drone and its remote). If you live in another country check what the local laws are. The Drone Guyz will do an overview of the latest regulations in the United States as applies to US citizens. Please note that some states and local jurisdictions, notably Washington D.C., have specific rules, so please check your local laws.
