The Happymodel Mobula6 is an iconic 65mm tiny whoop. Happymodel has improved upon their design every year and the 2024 version is no exception. This little quad is lighter and quicker than last years model. There are two new and exciting versions to choose from. The analog version was built with tiny whoop racers in mind and the Mobula6 ECO is the lightest and least expensive HD tiny whoop you can buy.
Mobula6 2024 and Mobula6 ECO
If you are looking for a fun, compact drone to race around in your home, the Mobula6 is a fantastic option. The new Mobula 6 2024 version is so quick and nimble, that it can even be used as a tiny whoop racer. If you are looking for a better viewing experience the Mobula 6 ECO with the HDZero is a great option. Happymodel has produced two excellent 65 mm whoop options for 2024.
Both models are running brushless 0702 28,000KV motors that push 31mm props. The analog version is the lighter of the two, checking in at 17.7 grams. The HDZero ECO version is a bit heavier at 23 grams. Both utilize an AIO flight controller with a built-in serial-based ELRS receiver. The frame is a new, lightweight, and more flexible design. Both of these use the new GNB A30 battery connector and are ideal with 300-380mah 1S lipos.
The analog version uses a new FX17-B camera. It has a 1/3″ CMOS sensor, 800TVL and a field of view of 150°. The analog VTX is switchable from 25/100/400mw. The ECO version has the new HDZero ECO camera and VTX. It is capable of 720p at 60fps.
I personally will sacrifice the extra weight for the clearer picture that comes with the HDZero ECO version. Keep in mind that I am not a professional drone racer. I don’t mind it being a bit heavier and slower as it makes the drone easier to control. This whoop is great for flying in my basement but agile enough to take outdoors for a little bit of acro as well. You can’t go wrong with either. I anticipate Happymodel releasing some similar 75 mm versions soon as well.
