The best camera is the one you have with you. The Hover X1 isn’t a drone as much as it is a camera that just happens to fly. The Hover was built to be portable as a small, lightweight foldable drone. It does what it was built to do and it does it well. Unlike traditional drones, the Hover X1 doesn’t use a remote. You turn it on push a button and it records you and your friends using a handful of intelligent flight modes.
ZeroZero Hover Camera X1
The Hover X1 was built as a safe, lightweight option to traditional drones. It takes off from your hand and videos the subject using one of its intelligent flight modes. In Hover mode, it takes off and tracks you or the intended subject. Zoom out creates a traditional “dronie” or a selfie via a drone. Orbit will circle you. Follow will track you as you move. Bird’s Eye will take off vertically and shoot straight down, even spinning if you choose. You can have the drone track you dynamically with Dolly Track. It will snap photos on command in Snapshot mode. There is even a manual mode that allows you to fly it more like a traditional drone if you choose.
Video footage is captured by the camera in three different resolutions. You can film at 2.7K at 30 fps, 1080p at 60 fps, or 1080p with HDR at 30 fps. The video is stabilized by a combination of the one-axis gimbal and electronically using EIS. The camera can capture 12 MP photos as well. It takes good pictures in video in well-lit areas but will struggle at dusk and dawn.
The Hover X1 was built to be different. It is lightweight, easy to use, and safer than most drones with its enclosed propellers. You can use it with or without the free Hover X1 app. Just unfold it and start flying.
