The Force1 Monarch Drone is one of the more unique drones I have ever flown. Like the name suggests it looks like a butterfly. It also has a unite hand gesture remote control. This isn’t a drone that I would typically fly. However, my 10-year-old daughter and 8-year-old niece couldn’t get enough of it. The loved playing with the Monarch drone.
The Force1 Monarch Butterfly
This is a no-frills drone. There isn’t a camera or any fancy flight modes. It is a basic quadcopter shaped like a butterfly. The remote is small and operated with one hand. It works by tilting the remote in the direction you want the drone to fly.
In many ways, the Monarch is a gimmicky drone. There isn’t anything particularly fancy about it, except for the way that it looks. But maybe that is enough. My daughter really enjoys flying it and after a little bit of practice, she wasn’t half bad.
The Monarch is sold by Force1 RC. They are a reputable seller and back up their products with support and often include extras. The Monarch has two batteries, so you can double your fun. While it isn’t a perfect drone it certainly accomplishes what it was created to do, entertain children. My kids love it and I suspect it will make an excellent gift this holiday season for some other happy children.

What Is the BEST Drone?
