Fat Shark is top dog in the world of FPV drone goggles. Now they have decided to move on from just making goggles with the release of their first drone, the Fat Shark 101. Their first drone offering is an interesting one for sure. They see a market for an easy all-in-one FPV solution, and that is exactly what they created.
What is the Fat Shark 101?
The Fatshark 101 includes a small brushed quadcopter, controller, headset and even some gates to get you up in the air and practicing your skills. They call the Fat Shark 101 a drone training system and it is exactly that.
The quadcopter is a small but powerful brushed quad with a built-in FPV camera. It is designed to look like a shark. It comes prebound to their remote control. The remote is compact and looks to be of good quality.
You’ll also get their Recon FPV goggles, which will work with the Fat Shark 101 as well as any other 5.8 GHz FPV quadcopter. These goggles look to be of higher quality than those included in more inexpensive all-in-ones like the Q90C or E013.
You can pick up a Fat Shark 101 package for around $250. It may be a little more than some of the both the Q90C and E013 packaes, but it also includes higher quality components from a name brand you know.

Other All-in-One FPV Options
While the Fat Shark 101 looks to be a pretty solid option, $250 certainly isn’t cheap. We have three potential options that will all come in a lot cheaper than the FS 101. The Eachine E013 is a small tiny-whoop-style ducted quadcopter that is a lot of fun. It is probably the best all-in-one indoor option. Learn more about the E013 here.
The Eachine Q90C is a more powerful all-in-one solution than the E013. It has a powerful 2S battery and is a lot of fun. Learn more about the Q90C here.
The UDI U835 Kestrel is another good option. The monitor for FPV is built into the remote so if you aren’t a fan of the goggles this is a something to look into. Learn more about the Kestrel here.
