DJI’s announcement that they are releasing an all-digital HD FPV system was a huge lift to the drone hobby. Soon pilots will be able to view a crystal clear HD FPV video feed in real-time as they fly. Fat Shark has also been working on bringing HD video to the hobby with their Byte Frost system and it too sounds like a game-changer.
The Fat Shark Byte Frost system looks to improve upon some of the biggest downsides of the DJI product. It is smaller with a more traditional 30 x 30 stack system. It will work with existing Fat Shark HDO and HD3 goggles and perhaps even others. We don’t have pricing yet, but it will likely be less expensive than DJI’s digital FPV system.
