Eachine Nano LR3
The Eachine Nano LR3 is a 3″ quad that was built for slow cruising over longer distances. The drone weighs only 98 grams and is 144 mm from motor to motor. The Nano LR3 uses an all-in-one F4 flight controller and 5 amp ESC. The VTX is switchable from pit/25/100/200/400 mW and is connected to a 1000 TVL Caddx Ant Nano.
The motors are 1303.5, 4500 KV motors and can certainly handle the double 18650 batteries. The batteries are mounted both above and below the flight controller. The included propellers are 3″ Gemfan 3016s. There is a built-in GPS unit that you can use to help you return home should you lose connection.
I found the frame to be a little too fragile, especially carrying these heavy batteries. I, unfortunately, crashed this guy and busted one of the front arms, so it won’t be flying again for a while.
This little drone wasn’t built for freestyle acro. Flying on double 18650 batteries may make it feel sluggish if you are used to traditional FPV drones that use more powerful lipo batteries. However, the goal of this drone is a longer flight time and the 18650s will help accomplish that task. Make sure you take care to use identical batteries with identical charges before you fly or you could be in for a bunch of issues.
