The Eachine E010 is an unapologetic clone of the original Inductrix from Horizon Hobby. This micro flyer is a great indoor drone that can pinball off walls and keep ongoing. The ducted propellers help keep it quiet, aid in efficiency, and are excellent propeller guards. Its small size, durability, and ability to be upgraded make this an ideal starter drone. Whether you plan to add an FPV camera or leave it as is, this is a fun and inexpensive little drone.
This fun micro drone performs flips with the push of a button and can even fly in headless mode. The E010 can be flown in beginner mode, which limits the power and makes the drone much easier to fly. High mode is a lot of fun and makes the drone quicker and more active. Most drones in this price point the features are over promised and under-delivered. Remarkably, headless mode works fairly well which is almost unheard of for drones that don’t have GPS. Not surprisingly, the return home feature is laughable. We have yet to find a drone without GPS that has a return home feature that works even remotely well, so it is hard to knock this little guy for trying.

This excellent starter drone has a fantastic feature a lot of other beginner drones do not have. It can be easily be converted into an FPV Tiny Whoop, or a first-person micro racing drone. Many people have converted this quad by removing the cover and adding a camera. If you make this modification, this little guy does become an ideal indoor FPV drone. It is not as powerful as the Inductrix, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t fun. Flying FPV (first-person view) brings a whole new element to drone flying.
Converting this drone into a Tiny Whoop is pretty easy to do. The most cost effective way to do it is to start with the Eachine E010, add an FPV camera, some goggles and throw in a little bit of elbow grease and you’ve got your own version of a Tiny Whoop. You’ll need to add a camera. Crazy Pony makes a few good ones. After that you’ll need some FPV goggles or a headset. We’d recommend the affordable Eachine VR-007 FPV goggles. You can build this setup for $130-140. Sticking to that budget can be tricky as you’ll also want to add batteries, get some extra props, and perhaps even upgrade your controller. Beware, FPV flying is super fun and potentially addicting.

Other FPV options
If you are looking for an fun indoor FPV or first person view drone and you don’t want to build your own then check out the Inductrix or the Hubsan X4 FPV. For a full review of the Inductrix, click HERE. For a full review of the Hubsan X4 click HERE. These are two all in one FPV solutions. You won’t have to worry about building or finding components with either the Hubsan or Inductrix. If you want something that is a step above then check out the Eachine QX90 or QX95. They may not look pretty, but they are real indoor racing drones. You’ll have to purchase your own controller and have a set of FPV goggles, but if you get into racing these are some of the best indoor racers out there. We wouldn’t recommend the QX90 or QX95 as your first drone, but as your first racing drone…that’s a different story.
