The Autel Evo Nano is another small, sub 250-gram drone that can take excellent pictures and video. Manufacturers like Hubsan and Xiaomi have also created mini drones to compete with the incredibly popular DJI lineup of mini drones. While they have their pros, by most standards they fall short. Autel however has hit the mark with their two new mini offerings with the Evo Nano.
Autel Evo Nano
The Autel Evo Nano comes with two different camera options. The more expensive 1/2″ sensor version and the less expensive 1/2.8″ sensor version. As a rule, a larger sensor (1/2″) will allow for better low light photography and better detail. However for most people that are looking for good, but not professional quality the smaller and more affordable 1/2.8″ version will be more than good enough. Both cameras are stabilized by a 3-axis gimbal for smooth and steady footage.
You can shoot 4K video with the Evo Nano and capture 12 MP stills. The Nano will have a flight time of up to 30 minutes and a range of 6.2 miles. The one thing that sets the Evo Nano apart from other mini drones is that it has three-way obstacle avoidance. You have sensors on the front, back, and bottom of the Nano to help keep your drone safe.
Which Evo Nano should you get?
The Autel Evo Nano comes in four different colors: Autel orange, Blazing red, Deep Space grey, and Artic white. The top of the line version will cost $600. Yes, this is the most expensive mini drone on the market, but it is also the most advanced. We will be picking up a red one. Which version do you like best?
