The Autel Evo Lite confirms that they are all in on the consumer market. The Evo Lite is a smaller version of their incredible flagship drone the Evo 2 Pro. This drone was built to compete directly with DJI’s popular Air 2S and Mavic Air 2 lineup of drones and it certainly does that.
Autel Evo Lite
The Autel Evo Lite comes with two different camera options. The more expensive 1″ sensor version and the less expensive 1/2.8″ sensor version. As a rule, a larger sensor (1″) will allow for better low-light photography and better detail. The 1″ sensor can be used in some professional applications.
However for most people that are looking for good, but not professional quality the smaller and more affordable 1/2.8″ version will be more than good enough. Both cameras are stabilized by a 3-axis gimbal for smooth and steady footage.
You can shoot 4K video with the Evo Lite and capture 12 MP stills. The Evo Lite will have a flight time of up to 40 minutes and a range of 6.2 miles. That is on par with their larger Evo 2 lineup of drones. If you were considering an Evo 2 you may want to opt for the smaller but still capable Evo Lite. At 820 grams it isn’t a mini drone but still uniquely portable and easy to bring with you on the go.
Which Evo Lite should you get?
The Autel Evo Lite comes in three different colors: Autel orange, Deep Space grey, and Artic white. The traditional hobbyist may want to save a little money and opt for the less expensive 1/2.8″ sensor version. However, if you want something to take pictures and video in lower light situations the Evo Lite is the way to go.
