Yuneec just released three new drones at CES 2018. Take a look at their upgraded Typhoon, a fixed-wing airplane and a small racing drone.
Yuneec has updated their Typhoon H. The Typhoon H Plus is larger, more powerful and quieter than the previous version. The Typhoon H Plus is also a more stable machine and is capable of stable flight in winds of up to 30 mph.
The Typhoon H Plus still has the six rotor design as the original and the landing gear will retract to get out of the way of the camera. The camera can take 20 MP stills and is capable of 4K video at an impressive 60 fps. The high aperture one-inch sensor has better performance in low light than the original Typhoon. The camera is attached to an improved gimbal that can rotate a full 360-degrees for unobstructed views.
The Typhoon H Plus also features their smart collision avoidance technology that will help pilots avoid obstacles that they don’t see. It will also come with a brand new remote control with a 7″ LCD screen that will display a crisp 720p video image that streams live from the drone.
The Typhoon H Plus is an impressive machine. It won’t be cheap at $1799.99 but is still a lot cheaper than a DJI Inspire 2. The original Typhoon H is still an impressive drone and the price of it is sure to fall.
The Typhoon H Plus is one of three drones that Yuneec debuted at CES 2018. They also released a fixed-wing airplane called the Firebird FPV. The Firebird like the Typhoon will have safety modes like Return to Home, Geo Fence and Auto Landing capabilities. The FireBird FPV will cost around $700.
Yuneec is also planning to release a small HD Racer. It is a palm-sized indoor racing quad. It will feature a ducted propeller design and a digital 1080p digital signal. It will feature a handful of flight modes and even a flip over anti-turtle mode. The HD Racer will start around $180.
