JJRC H37 Baby Elfie

The original Elfie was a big hit when it was launched. It is a lightweight, portable, foldable drone that is designed to take selfies. The original Elfie has some great features, but its biggest downfall is its low-resolution camera. The newest Elfie, the JJRC H37 Baby Elfie, is better than ever. It is smaller, has a unique controller and can take HD video. Is it the best low-cost selfie drone?

The new Baby Elfie is very portable. Its compact size makes it easy to take with you. JJRC even includes a nice waterproof carrying case that will hold the drone, charger and new remote.

Baby Elfie Features

The Baby Elfie has a handful of good features. It has altitude hold, WiFi FPV, headless mode, trajectory mode and it can be controlled with either your smartphone or the unique new controller. The addition of the physical remote, the altitude hold will help make this quadcopter easier to fly and more stable.

You can fly the Baby Elfie using your smartphone, or try out the new one-handed remote control. You will use the one stick to control the throttle and yaw. The drone will move left and right by waving the remote left or right. It might not be as precise as a full remote, but it does the trick and is definitely more compact. Inexperienced fliers may find this new style of remote easier to use and more intuitive.

Upgraded HD Camera

The camera is the biggest upgrade to the Baby Elfie. An 720p HD camera is a big improvement over the camera in the original Elfie. Don’t expect professional quality photos from the Baby Elfie, but photos and videos should look pretty good, especially outdoors and in good light. The camera angle is adjustable as well, which is a nice little bonus.
