Looking for an entry-level FPV drone that packs a punch? The NewbeeDrone Hummingbird V3 has a lot going for it and is only $89. Designed for tiny whoop enthusiasts, this compact quadcopter comes loaded with features that make it stand out in a crowded market.
NewBeeDrone Hummingbird Tiny Whoop
At the heart of the Hummingbird V3 are its 0802 25,000 KV motors, paired with triblade Azi props, offering a solid motor-prop combination for agile flight. What sets it apart is the diamond-shaped all-in-one flight controller with built-in ELRS, a 25mW VTX, and programmable LEDs—a rare find in drones of this size.
The original frame is pretty solid and excellent for beginners. However NewBeeDrone also makes a lightweight AF frame that will enhance maneuverability indoors but sacrifice some durability. NewbeeDrone is the only company that waranty’s their frames. So if you break one they will replace it, whether it is the original or their lightweight AF frame.
For optimal performance we recommend using NewbeeDrone Nitro Nectar 300mAh batteries, known for their reliability during extended flight sessions both indoors and out. The PH2.o connector isn’t the best option but it is gold plated and does a decent job.
There are a few drawbacks to this quad however. The fixed camera angle and 25mW VTX may limit range in larger environments, and some users might find the PH 2.0 connector and plugged motors a bit on the heavier side for serious racing.
In summary, the NewbeeDrone Hummingbird V3 is a versatile option for beginners and intermediate pilots alike. Its robust build, customizable features, and enjoyable flying experience make it a solid choice for those looking to delve into the world of FPV drones without breaking the bank.
