The Radiomaster Boxer is a new radio with an old design. It is a well-designed radio that pulls a lot of cues from the TBS Mambo. Radiomaster designed the Boxer to be a middle-of-the-road, lightweight but powerful radio that can hopefully bridge the gap between the large TX16S and small Zorro. My initial thoughts on the radio is that I love it. It feels good in my hands, is a lot lighter than my TX16S, and fits in my FPV bag a lot easier. It has become my new daily driver.

The Boxer comes in three versions. ELRS, 4-in-one, and CC2500. I’m using the ELRS version and that is what I’d recommend. It will perform better than either of the other versions and ELRS is quickly becoming the standard for most drones. The Boxer is one of only two drones out there that has a full 1W ELRS internal module so you can expect to get excellent range from this radio.
The Radiomaster Boxer supports fast charging, has a huge battery bay, a full-size JR bay, and new V4 Hall sensor gimbals. While it may not be their “premium” radio it sure comes close. It does not have the full-color touchscreen display the TX16S has but rather a standard black-and-white LCD screen. That is probably the biggest drawback of the radio. It runs EdgeTX and comes with a preloaded SD card. Radiomaster even loaded a handful of classic games on it so you can kill time playing Tetris, Asteroid, Pong, and other games.
Overall this is yet again another great radio from Radiomaster. The smaller form factor with full-size gimbals is sure to make a lot of people happy. It slots in between the TX16S ($199) and Zorro ($119) nicely with its $139 price tag.
