EXO Blackhawk 2 Pro

The EXO Blackhawk 2 Pro is a the top of the line option from EXO drones. It has a 1/1.3″ sensor on its 4K camera, a handful of intelligent flight modes, and an impressive 10,000-meter range. EXO has teamed up with Hubsan and their two newest offerings are their best two to date. The Blackhawk 2 Pro is a rebranded Hubsan Ace Pro and it is a solid option for anyone looking to get into drones.

EXO Blackhawk 2 Pro

The EXO Blackhawk 2 Pro is a good high-end consumer-level drone. It is capable of taking excellent pictures and videos. The camera is a good one and capable of solid images thanks to its 1/1.3″ sensor and quad-bayer-like technology. The full three-axis gimbal does a nice job of keeping it stable, even in moderate winds. The Blackhawk 2 Pro is capable of 4K video @ 30 fps with an impressive bitrate of up to 200 Mbps. It also can take 48 MP still photos. The camera has a large f/1.85 aperture as well as HDR and night shooting modes.

EXO drones and Hubsan

EXO is taking over all North American operations for Hubsan. That is a very good thing for consumers. Hubsan will still handle the engineering and EXO will be manning all other facets of the business. The one thing Hubsan always did well was the engineering of the drone. The hardware was always solid. What Hubsan lacked was the ability to implement a seamless user experience. Their quality control was quite poor. I’m hoping that EXO can fix that issue and help create a legitimate alternative to DJI.

Take a look at the EXO Blackhawk 2 Pro and the EXO Mini Pro

Consumers should find out fairly soon how committed EXO is with the Blackhawk 2 Pro and Blackhawk 2 Mini. In terms of comparing these drones to the DJI offerings, I believe the larger Blackhawk 2 Pro fits somewhere in between the DJI Mavic Air 2 and Air 2S. The smaller Blackhawk 2 Pro slots in somewhere between the DJI Mini 2 and Mini 3 Pro. I do not think these are quite as polished as the DJI drones but are both viable alternatives. Hopefully, with time EXO will continue to give consumers a viable alternative to DJI.
