Eachine and AtomRC Auk FPV drone

Eachine & AtomRC Auk | All-in-one FPV just got better!

The collaboration between Eachine and AtomRC produced the interesting AUK. It is a lightweight 4″ FPV drone that comes with everything you need to get into the air. This kit has some of the best components I’ve seen in an all-in-one, ready-to-fly kit. The Skyzone goggles and Radiomaster remote are excellent products and the Auk drone itself, has some quality components and looks good too.

The Auk is an impressive drone and the components are both an upgrade from my previous favorite all-in-one, the Eachine Novice 4. While I like that drone I think this one is better on all fronts, except that the Novice 4comes with a carrying case and the Auk does not. Learn more about it here.

What is the Eachine AtomRC Auk?

This is a lightweight FPV drone with a 196 mm wheelbase. It uses AtomRC 2004, 2700 KV motors to push 4″ 4023 propellers. The flight controller is an F4 with a USB-C connector. The ESC is an AIO board that is rated at 30 amps and is rated for a 3-4S battery. You can get up to 10 minutes of flight time if you are slow cruising with the Auk.

The video transmitter is switchable from 25/200/500 mw and will work over 40 channels. The camera is the 1200 TVL Foxeer Razer. They also have included a GPS module so you can trigger a return to home or collect other useful data. It is mounted on the battery strap so it is out of the way of other antennas and still in a good location to connect to satellites.

Auk Radiomaster T8

The remote controller included is the Radiomaster T8 lite. It is an excellent beginner radio and will work with other D8 or D16 drones. It is an 8 channel remote and has a built-in battery. You should be able to get up to 1000 meters with the included Radiomaster receiver. This remote can even be connected and used in a simulator so a new pilot can get better without crashing and ruining their drone. This is something I definitely recommend. Check out the video below. If you wanted to purchase the T8 by itself it would cost you about $40.

Auk Skyzone Cobra Lite FPV goggles

The goggles are the compact box Cobra goggles made by Skyzone. They have been rebranded as Eachine but are still solid options and one of the best box goggles out there. The resolution is 480 x 272 and they have a 50-degree field of view. The Cobra L FPV goggles have diversity antennas and a built-in DVR so you can record your flights. You can get up to 90 minutes of action with a 3000 mah 18650 battery. If you were to purchase them on your own they would cost about $120.

Should you buy the Eachine AtomRC Auk?

Overall I’ve been extremely impressed by this machine. I love the way it looks. I love the upgrade in components with the Radiomaster remoter and Skyzone goggles. Even with it being a 4″ quad and not a 5″ I think was a great idea for someone looking to get into the hobby.
