The Skystars Starlord 228 FPV racing drone is one of the best ready to fly FPV quads under $200 that you can buy right now. This just might be the best 5″ intro FPV quad and in a lot of ways is superior to the very popular Eachine Wizard 220 line of drones. Let’s take a closer look at the Starlord.
Skystars Starlord
While I haven’t personally flown this quad I have done some research on it. It specs out quite well and other reviewers really like it. It isn’t small and light like other racing quads, but rather built a little larger for freestyle.
The frame on the Starlord is well built and solid. It utilizes an F4 flight controller and 40 Amp all-in-one ESCs. The camera is a 600 TVL version and is connected to a switchable VTX (25/200/500/800mW). You can use smart audion to change channels and adjust the settings.
I’ve flown a few different Skystars quads and they put together a well-built drone at a low cost. The Starlord looks to be more of the same.
Starlord FPV on sale right now
It is hard to find a solid freestyle quad like this for under $200 but the Skystars Starlord retails for $169 but right now is a steal at $155 on a flash sale at Gearbest.
